Guam Better Equipped for Public Health Emergencies than Hawaii, Georgia, CNMI E-mail Print

While Guam needs improvements in public health emergencies, the island ranks higher than Hawaii, Georgia and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

Measured against the rest of the country to prevent, detect and contain public health threats such as pandemic illnesses and acts of bio terrorism, Guam is considered better prepared than Georgia and Hawaii. Georgia's population is more than 4.6 million and Hawaii's is more than 1.2 million.
