Japan's First-Lady-In-Waiting Sparks Interest In Space Travel By Jeff Marchesseault GUAM - It turns out that incoming Japan Premier Yukio Hatoyama, nicknamed 'The Alien' for his otherwordly looks, has a space-traveling wife to support his star-cruising handle. And one blogger's submission to the Stars and Stripes' online edition suggests that her belief in interplanetary travel could set Japanese tourism on a whole new course -- straight up and beyond the nation's getaway-favorite Guam! Soon-to-be First Lady Miyuki Hatoyama writes in a book, published last year: "While my body was asleep, I think my soul rode on a triangular-shaped UFO and went to Venus," Miyuki Hatoyama, the wife of premier-in-waiting Yukio Hatoyama, wrote in a book published last year. "It was a very beautiful place and it was really green." Commenting on the 'honeymoon period' following the Democratic Party of Japan's landslide Lower House victory last weekend, the Stars and Stripes blogger quips, "The next 6 months should be interesting. Exactly how this will affect Guam and tourism is yet to be determined." Read the Stars and Stripes blog, "Look out Guam - Japan has a new tourism opportunity", September 4, 2009." Read the Reuters report, "Japan's new first lady says rode in a spaceship", September 2, 2009.
