GUAM - Dissing Sarah Palin, then-U.S. President George W. Bush once said: "I'm trying to remember if I've met her before. What is she, the Governor of Guam?"

That from a soon-to-be-released book by former Bush speechwriter Matt Latimer, Speech Less: Tales of a White House Survivor.

Citing the New York Daily News, the Anchorage Daily News says that The Raw Story has reported further that the former President "thought she was the wrong pick for John Mccain's running mate."

Said Bush, "This woman is being put into a position she is not even remotely prepared for."

No, Preznit Bush. Scarah Palin WAS the governor of Guam, however she BAILED
midterm.
She is now governor of nothing and will be become commander-in-skank by
ROYAL TEAMSARAH DECREE only.

That's a bit of a reach...it was not a slam on Guam--it was mostly on Sarah
Palin and her rise from obscurity to prominence despite being from a sparsely
populated, non-CONUS state.

you have to remember, "guam" is commonly used my americans as a joke
location, similar to how timbuktu is used. but what i find strange is how
guamanians are always so overly sensitive about things like this.
