He emcees events for Archbishop Anthony Apuron, writes press releases and updates the website for the Archdiocese, and attends classes at UOG. Jon Junior Calvo is not your average 21-year old. For fun, Jon Junior likes to play political pundit, following the goings-on of local and national politics trying to predict the next political blunder. However, it is his commitment to his faith and his devotion to his work at the Agana Cathedral that makes Jon Junior such a stand-out. He finds inspiration in interacting with people of all ages... "There is so much to learn from people and their current situations. In my opinion, it gives me a good sense of the direction society is going, and allows me to gauge where and how I should contribute to improving society." And he is an active participant in the church's walk-for-life, chain-for-life and the numerous church events in opposition of the same-sex civil union bill. He is an active member of the church's media ministry that uses every technology available to bring the message of the church to the faithful, whether on Guam or anywhere in the world. Recently, the church added live web streaming of its masses and other events... and Jon Junior says, they've managed to reconnect people from off-island with the church. For Jon Junior, the church is his second home. But when he is not working at the church he spends much of his time at home or with his friends. After completing his bachelor's degree in public administration from the University of Guam, Jon Junior plans to pursue his master's degree and then a law degree.
