Apple’s Upcoming iPhone 15 Models to Have Increased RAM and Similar Storage Options to iPhone 14
In exciting news for Apple enthusiasts, the tech giant’s much-anticipated iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are set to offer the same storage capacities as the previous iPhone 14 Pro models, according to the Taiwanese research firm TrendForce. This means users can expect options ranging from 128GB to a whopping 1TB of storage on these new models.
But the real boost comes in the form of increased RAM on the iPhone 15 Pro series, as TrendForce reports that both models will feature 8GB of RAM, in comparison to the 6GB RAM found in the iPhone 14 Pro lineup. This boost in RAM is expected to deliver improved performance, particularly in multitasking scenarios, enhancing the overall user experience.
TrendForce also predicts that the lower-end iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models will come with 6GB of RAM, allowing these models to deliver solid performance and efficiency.
As for pricing, the research firm anticipates that the iPhone 15 Pro will maintain a starting price of $999 in the U.S., mirroring its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro. However, iPhone enthusiasts may need to shell out a bit more for the premium iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is said to come with a starting price of $1,199, representing a $100 increase compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
But it’s not just about the internals; Apple is rumored to bring some exciting features to the iPhone 15 series. All four models are expected to include a long-awaited USB-C port and the innovative Dynamic Island feature. Moreover, the Pro models might offer additional features such as a titanium frame, a customizable Action button, the powerful A17 Bionic chip, Wi-Fi 6E support, and a periscope lens with up to 6x optical zoom on the Pro Max.
Mark your calendars, as Apple has scheduled an event for Tuesday, September 12, where the much-anticipated iPhone 15 series will be unveiled. The event will be live-streamed on YouTube, Apple’s website, as well as the Apple Events app for Apple TV, ensuring a global audience can witness the launch of these highly anticipated devices.
